Description

We are inviting applications for the role of an Accounts Payable Lead Specialist in the transport industry. The position is based in Nashville, Tennessee, 37201, United States and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The selected candidate will be required to handle tasks related to accounts payable and should be well-versed with accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full cycle of accounts payable duties including processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices

• Maintain vendor contact for discrepancy resolution and vendor statement reconciliation

• Perform accounting functions and data entry tasks with precision

• Ensure accurate check processing and effectively manage LEED Accounts Payable

• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies in the accounts payable process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar role within the Transport industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel is a must

• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Familiarity with Check Processing and Data Entry tasks

• Ability to handle Discrepancy issues effectively and efficiently

• Experience with LEED Accounts Payable procedures

• Superior attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
