Description:

• System Maintenance and Support:

• Monitor and maintain all hotel IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.

• Provide technical support to hotel staff and guests, troubleshooting any IT-related issues promptly and efficiently.

• Ensure the security and integrity of all IT systems and data through regular backups, updates, and security protocols.

• Network Management:

• Manage the hotel's network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, to ensure reliable connectivity throughout the property.

• Implement and enforce network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.

• Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement to optimize speed and reliability.

• IT Infrastructure Planning and Implementation:

• Collaborate with hotel management to assess IT needs and develop strategies for implementing new technologies or upgrading existing systems.

• Plan and execute IT projects, such as system upgrades, installations, or expansions, within established timelines and budgets.

• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed to procure IT equipment, software, or services.

• User Training and Documentation:

• Provide training and guidance to hotel staff on the use of IT systems, software applications, and best practices for data security.

• Develop and maintain documentation, manuals, and user guides to assist staff in utilizing IT resources effectively.

• Compliance and Data Security:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and local privacy laws.

• Implement and enforce data security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information and mitigate risks of data breaches.

• Vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with IT vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring timely delivery of services and resolution of issues.

• Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Wage Scale is $70,600 - $88,100 DOE.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in IT management, preferably in the hospitality industry.

• Strong technical skills in networking, system administration, and software applications.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices in cybersecurity.

• Certification in relevant IT disciplines (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) is a plus.
