Burns & McDonnell Tax analyst in Mumbai, India

Description Roles & Responsibility:

  1. Income Tax Notice Drafting and Response: Prepare, review, and draft responses to income tax notices, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Drafting Communicate with tax authorities and to gather necessary information to provide accurate responses.

  2. Document Preparation and Review: Draft, review, and finalize various financial documents, including tax study reports while ensuring that all documents are accurate, legally compliant, and professionally presented.

  3. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on tax laws, regulations, and precedents. Analyze complex tax issues and provide written summaries and recommendations to the finance.

  4. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the finance and compliance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in all financial documentation getting executed. Provide support and expertise in drafting and reviewing documents wherever needed.

  5. Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with consultants regarding the status of their documents, any necessary follow-up actions, and deadlines. Provide explanations and clarifications on Finance and tax issues when required.

  6. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations. Suggest and implement improvements in document drafting processes and templates to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with necessary tax and legal standards. Regularly visiting circulars, notifications and amendments being released by regulators and preparing note for the Finance team capturing impact to the company.

  7. Other Activities:

Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure that all drafted documents meet the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and compliance. Conduct regular audits of drafted documents and suggest corrective actions as needed.

Assist in the development and documentation of internal policies and procedures related to financial and tax documentation. Ensure these policies are well-documented and communicated across relevant departments.

Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards in handling sensitive financial information. Ensure that all documents are stored and transmitted securely.

Facilitating smooth communication and ensuring that all responses and documents are filed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Qualifications

The candidate should have a LLB degree and having tax knowledge. The candidate should have a work experience of up to 2 years.
