Responsibilities
Managing the full event life-cycle, from initial planning and conceptualization to execution and post-event follow-up
Ownership of attendee recruitment including the creation of marketing and invitation copy, outbound attendee prospecting & active recruitment, segmenting and distributing invitations to the internal database, attendee confirmation management, sending out reminders, and managing attrition.
Contributing to the planning, coordination, and promotion of ISMG events according to sponsor requirements, target audiences, and objectives.
Secure appropriate attendee volume through heavy outbound prospecting efforts via
LinkedIn to ensure client expectations have been met with quality attendees.
Edit, proofread, and optimize copy for promotional materials ensuring both ISMG & client standards have been met.
Assist in expanding the global attendee prospect database and nurturing existing attendee relationships by recruiting C-level executives to participate in events.
Maintain consistent communication with event sponsors through the life-cycle of each event.
Coordinate with ISMG Sales, Marketing, Editorial, and Graphics teams to ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner and approved by the sponsors.
Work with the internal team to coincide with company/event marketing efforts.
Manage executive round-table events both virtually and in person
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Event Management, Mass Communication,
Advertising, Journalism, or a related field
3-5 years of professional work experience in B2B event management / delegate acquisition
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize while on tight deadlines.
Effectively and efficiently work both independently and collectively as a team when needed.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments concurrently.
Experience managing client projects and expectations with an emphasis on event performance. Must be proficient in the use of MS Office.
Experience working on virtual events preferably utilizing virtual meeting platforms such as
Zoom, GoToMeeting, BlueJeans, WebEx, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Excellent project management skills. Must be extremely detail-oriented.
Experience with marketing automation programs (Marketo is a plus).
The ability to work well in a fast paced media environment.
