Data & AI is one of the fastest growing businesses inside the Azure platform, addressing the increasing customer demand for extracting value and insights to enable businesses to digitally transform.

As the Director of Data & AI Business for Azure. you will lead and manage a team of Data & AI Sales Managers, Data & AI Sales Specialist and Data & AI technical managers with deep expertise across Data and AI as a part of the Enterprise business in India. In this position you will have the opportunity to lead the innovative and thought leading Data and AI conversation with some of the most fast paced and tech savvy companies, while enabling and leading the career development and growth of your team You are expected to cerate and lead a high energy team while building a collaborative and inclusive culture. All of this while being part of one of the most dynamic and innovative segments in the tech market today. You will need to demonstrate your expertise in leading Data and AI customer facing teams, expertise in the Data and AI space, as well as driving a positive, inclusive and high energy culture.

This role is responsible for covering the India Data & AI Business across the Enterprise Businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Data and AI Sales team covering Enterprise customers in their respective territory.

  • You will be accountable for the Data & AI business, and play a key role in driving sales, nurturing customer relationships, driving alignment and partnership with internal stakeholders (Account teams, Customer Success teams, Engineering and product leadership teams), and customer/partner stakeholders, inclusive of BDMs and ITDMs (Chief Data Officer, Chief Analytics Officer, etc).

  • Be a thought leader and build trust with key technical decision makers and influencers across customers and partners. Provide clarity on enterprise wide data estate migration, modernization, transformation with respect to enterprise data. Be comfortable addressing topics like information security, data governance, and compliance.

  • Lead the AI business transformation across the Enterprise business in India by creating and executing the AI plan

  • Experienced at building and maintaining relationships with business leaders from top Azure Data & AI Global System Integrators and Partners.

  • Drive operational excellence, including pipleline management, accurate deal forecasts, and providing high-quality insights

  • Possess cross-team collaboration and communication skills. Be effective at partnering with all required Microsoft stakeholders in the subsidiary and Asia region to drive role clarity, account coverage, project assignment and effective cross-team collaboration

  • Hire, on-board, and develop Data & AI Specialist sellers. Be able to set a clear bar for excellence and build a high performing team that will be diverse and inclusive.

  • Coach and enable teams to identify, qualify and accelerate Azure Data & AI pipeline, solve for blockers and escalations

· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 8+ years of related experience, including senior sales leadership roles, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, coaching solution sales and account development strategies, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations

o OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 15+ years of related experience, including senior sales leadership roles, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, coaching solution sales and account development strategies, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations

o OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 12+ years of related experience, including senior sales leadership roles, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, coaching solution sales and account development strategies, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations

o OR equivalent experience.
