Maintenance Technician/Boiler Operator

$27-$35/Hr + $1 night shift premium

6am-6pm or 6pm-6am

The Maintenance Technician/Boiler Operator is responsible for the regular operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers and associated systems. This position ensures that all equipment is functioning optimally, adhering to safety standards, and meeting regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Operate boilers, heating systems, and auxiliary equipment.

• Monitor pressure, temperature, and water levels to ensure system efficiency.

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on boilers and heating equipment.

• Maintain and repair pumps, valves, and pipes that are part of the boiler system.

• Identify and diagnose issues with boilers, electrical controls, and heating systems.

• Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems associated with the boiler operation.

• Respond to emergency breakdowns and make timely repairs to minimize downtime.

• Prepare and maintain records of boiler inspections, maintenance, and repair activities.

Requirements:

• Must have desire to learn and have 2nd Class B Boilers License or ability to obtain boilers license within 90 days of hire.

• 2 – 3 years previous maintenance experience preferred or equivalent skills in a food processing plant.

• High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Able to follow written instructions for assigned tasks

• Knowledge of PLC's and ammonia a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $27-$35/Hr + $1 night shift premium
