Description and Requirements
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our Product Release Operations Team (PROs). This role requires an analytical mindset, coupled with strong leadership / communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross functional stakeholders. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams including product management, finance, service, quality, development, procurement, supply chain, and operations. This cross-functional team's primary objective is to work together to bring the newest offerings for Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) to market. The applicant should have a good technical understanding of Lenovo's product portfolio and business processes with the ability to lead, plan, coordinate, and implement complex solutions across competing priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate will also be able to work with DT/IT to drive transformation and improve our overall offering delivery processes.
This role will act as the primary point of contact between the Product Release Organization and senior leadership to ensure clear and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
Lead program/project execution according to the Product Launch Process with cross functional teams.
Fully accountable for the E2E success of the program/project scope, including overall planning, tracking, time to market delivery, expense, quality, and executive approvals.
Understand and drive delivery of the project scope on time and within the budget.
Proactively identify risks and issues and drives workable solutions across functional teams.
Make day-to-day tradeoff decisions based on full transparency of cost, expense, and resources.
Effective communication of project status to management.
Performs Fu Pan/Lessons Learned with the team to ensure project and process improvements are captured and knowledge is transferred to future projects.
Influence and transform business process and tool gaps needed for future success and optimization
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field such as engineering or computer science.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations, preferably within product development or technology segment.
Proven track record of driving successful projects to completion and interacting with senior leadership.
Strong proficiency with operational tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Manager and various project and expense management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA with engineering background and/or Technical Project Management (TPM) preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
PMP certified.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
