Need 20 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers / Laborers to work in Stevens, Grant, Swift, Traverse, Chippewa, Stevens, and Kandiyohi Counties in Minnesota. From: 08/01/2024 to 12/15/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day OVERTIME: Work in Minnesota will be paid overtime in accordance with Minnesota Statute 177, specifically 177.25 Subdivision 1 and/or 177.23 Subdivision 7(2). ESST Law: Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 10/09/2024 JOB DUTIES: Operate tractors to pack the silage and hay piles from the fall harvest. Operate tractors to unload and stack straw bales on site. Liquid manure application by the use of tractors and manure hose within harvested fields of a 5-mile radius of the worksite. Minimal driving of equipment on community roads is required. Dry solids manure application by the use of payloaders and tractors with spreader attachments. Drive truck to transport dry solids to fields. May have to work nights, possibly weekends. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. Maintaining of worksite and equipment. Cleaning location and equipment. Rate of pay may be more depending on experience. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience for the job duties listed. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements. Possible random drug test after hire at no cost to worker: testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
