Where You Will Work
Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Description
Under general direction, responsible for the development, organization and implementation of all Fitness and Wellness programs. This includes, but is not limited to fitness classes, personal training services, and active older adult programs, equipment orientations, and youth, teen, and family health/wellness activities.
Develop, organize and implement Fitness and Wellness activities, both facility based and community based, and assist in the coordination of community events
Monitor and evaluate Fitness and Wellness program quality and enrollment
Supervise, direct and provide guidance to staff in Fitness and Wellness, including performance appraisals and hiring
Substitute for Fitness Instructors, if necessary, so that interruption in service to members is kept to a minimum
Perform public relations duties and respond to any complaints
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of relevant experience, OR High School diploma or equivalent and seven (7) years of relevant experience
Current Personal Trainer Certification or ability to obtain within first six (6) months of employment
Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days of employment
Supervisory/management skills
Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects
Knowledge of budget preparation, monitoring, and administration
Demonstrated competency in management, administration, promotion, and program development
Proven experience in building relationships with families and health seekers of all ages and abilities
Ability to work effectively with people and be available, visible, and approachable to staff
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
Strong customer service, listening, and problem solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Requires competency in use of MS Office software
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Preferred
Working knowledge of Recreation programs and their management
Working knowledge of the rules of a variety of sports
Criteria/Conditions
Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Work is mostly performed in an office setting
Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see
Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds during the course of the workday
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $47,000-$64,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
