Your role
In this position, you will focus on optimizing the ICI TOU.TV service offering and customer experience, while identifying and developing growth opportunities. Your primary objective is to increase ICI TOU.TV’s market penetration. You will play a key role in acquiring and retaining consumers using various segmentation approaches.
You will ensure that our marketing strategies and tactics are aligned with business priorities and consumer needs, based on available analytics and data.
You will play a consulting role with the Communications and Digital Media teams to ensure the implementation of our strategic priorities. You will support our editorial strategies through data collection and analysis with a focus on maximizing engagement with our various audience segments.
The ideal candidate must have strong analytical and strategic-thinking skills as well as deep understanding of the market. Project and personnel management skills are also essential for delivering on our strategic initiatives.
Your key responsibilities:
Quarterly planning:
Monitor and report on competitive strategies, relevant industry trends and similar products to help guide our priorities.
Work with your director and other in-house teams to develop quarterly plans aligned with our corporate objectives.
Track progress on plans and adjust our marketing strategies and offerings based on results obtained and changing consumer behaviour.
Work the Customer Service and Digital Media teams to improve customer satisfaction.
Increasing subscriptions and customer engagement:
Manage and optimize our strategies and programs for converting and retaining subscribers and authenticated users based on various segmentations.
Leverage a variety of strategies to increase engagement across our audience segments (programming, pricing/promotions, cross-channel marketing, partnerships).
Editorial strategies and partnerships:
Develop and recommend editorial strategies based on engagement and performance results.
Optimize metadata to improve our SEO.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with our distribution partners to optimize the visibility of our content in their ecosystems.
Oversee a resource person in charge of our platform’s editorial calendar and marketing tactics .
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, management, e-commerce or a related field, with additional training in strategy or data analysis
Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in strategic marketing or offering management in television, e-commerce or other relevant fields
B2C marketing skills (market analysis, developing sales performance indicators, interpreting data to derive actionable insights, and implementing customer acquisition and retention programs/techniques)
Ability to influence cross-functionally, listen, be organized and argue effectively
Ability to adapt to change, with a problem-solving mindset
Familiarity with SEO best practices is an asset
Familiarity with analytics suites such as Adobe Analytics and Power BI an asset
Familiarity with OTT and streaming platforms is an asset
