Overview: The County of Sullivan is seeking an Assistant County Attorney in Monticello, NY.

The Assistant County Attorney will be required to have a minimum of two years of full-time paid legal work experience within New York State in matters falling within the purview of Family Court, specifically: child abuse and neglect, foster care, adoption and child guardianship proceedings; and/or in proceedings concerning youths adjudicated as Juvenile Delinquents, and/or who fall under the "raise the Age" initiative; and/or in matters involving Child Support establishment and enforcement, "Fair Hearings", etc. Work is performed under the general direction of the County Attorney, and in accordance with overall policies of the Department, with latitude for the exercise of independent judgement in applying legal knowledge to specific problems.

Requirements: Applicants must be admitted and in good standing with the NY State Bar at the time of appointment. Valid NY State Driver's License 2 years experience as stated above

Shift, Salary, and Benefits: This is a Full-Time position, Monday-Friday,$109,000-$125,000, Benefits include; Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Time, and Holidays.
