Job Title: Process and Instrumentation Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Process and Instrumentation Technician with five years of experience as an industrial electrician or controls technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance on computers, microprocessors, PLC-based equipment, and their remote hardware and interface equipment. The position involves performing preventive maintenance, inspections, modifications, responding to breakdowns, trouble calls, and requests for information. You will coordinate with supervision and planning for the scheduling of downtime as needed to maintain assigned systems. Additionally, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant programmable controllers, Human Machine Interface, Drives, Computers, and make program changes when necessary.
Responsibilities
Perform planned maintenance on assigned computers, microprocessors, and PLC-based equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and modifications.
Respond to breakdowns, trouble calls, and requests for information.
Coordinate with supervision and planning for scheduling downtime as needed.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant programmable controllers, Human Machine Interface, Drives, and Computers.
Make program changes as needed or directed.
Essential Skills
Five years of experience as an industrial electrician or controls technician.
Experience troubleshooting and making edits/modifications to PLCs.
Ability to read ladder logic.
Experience with VSD, RS Logic, and Siemens.
Familiarity with CMMS.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience troubleshooting Siemens PLCs (10% of PLCs in the plant, 90% are Allen Bradley).
3-5+ years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
Previous experience in Navy (nuclear), foundry, paper mill, or aluminum.

Work Environment
The work environment is very heavy industrial, dirty, and non-climate controlled. Some areas are extremely hot due to equipment running and outdoor climate. The culture is family-oriented, with everyone willing to help each other out. The current maintenance team consists of 86 members, with a goal headcount of 106. The dress code includes steel toes, hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, and any additional PPE depending on the department. The shift is Monday-Friday, 6:30am-2:30pm, with eventual on-call rotations and weekend shifts.

This is a Permanent position based out of Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $92000.00/yr.
9.58% shift differential once they move onto swing shift (Approximately an extra 3/hr)
Only non-union smelter facility in the U.S
401K matches 6%. Benefits start on Day 1 (Full medical, dental and vision coverage – very competitive benefits and multiple options. You can get full copy during interview)
$300 tool stipend each year
All uniforms and PPE are provide by company, including prescription safety glasses
Free clinic onsite for check ups or any issues that happen during the day
Quarterly bonus up to 10% of what they have made in total that quarter. This is based on company profitability. They currently are averaging 4-6% per quarter
o Quarter bonus is tied to attendance.
HUGE on promoting from within. They have a ton of supervisors/managers who have been there for 30-40 years and nearing retirement. This is agreat opportunity for people coming in to train and develop themselves for those roles
If you work 6 days in a row, on your 6th day you are paid x1.75. If you work 7 days in a row, your 7th day is double pay
