Job Description
We are looking for a ServiceNow Systems Administrator to oversee the configuration, customization, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This position will be a full-time 8+ month contract and on-site .
Due to our end client, candidates must be able to work on CAI's W2 without a need for sponsorship now or in the future.
What You'll Do
Oversee the configuration, customization, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring optimal performance and stability
Lead the implementation of new modules, applications, and enhancements based on business requirements
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and document technical specifications and workflows
Develop and enforce best practices for ServiceNow administration, including system security, user access, and data integrity
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the ServiceNow platform, providing timely support to users
Conduct system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure the platform is up-to-date and secure
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
Provide training and mentorship to junior administrators and other team members on ServiceNow functionalities and best practices
Monitor system performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations
Stay current with ServiceNow updates, features, and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, with a proven track record of successful implementations and management
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices
Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideScript) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, AJAX)
Experience with ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Enforce ServiceNow license management & governance (e.g. User, App, API Usage, Custom Tables, etc.)
Preferred:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g. Certified Implementation Specialist)
Experience with ServiceNow integration tools and APIs
Knowledge of database management and SQL (MariaDB)
Experience with ServiceNow Remote Process Synchronization
Experience with ServiceNow On-Prem instance implementation, management, and troubleshooting
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
