ManpowerGroup Senior Facilities Technician in Minnetonka, Minnesota

Sr. Facilities Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire

Location: Richfield, MN

Hours: 8:30am-5pm, M-F + after hours on call rotating schedule

Pay range: $29.00 - $31.00 /HR

Summary

​​​​The Sr Facilities Technician is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager or Manager on Duty with the implementation of safety plans, operating standards and guidelines, troubleshooting, repairs, and performing preventative maintenance required to maintain the physical assets of the property

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems

  • Work with management on special projects as assigned, such as budgeted major expenses, capital items and unplanned emergency products

  • Supervise the maintenance of mechanical/HVAC equipment

  • Push and/or pull heavy loads on a pallet jack

  • Operate hi-lifts, trash compactors, freight lift, and trucks

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, as assigned throughout the property (including doors and closures, light welding, sign repair, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical work, cleaning, etc.)

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of air handling and rooftop units, exhaust fans, and various space heaters as may be needed

  • Repair, modify, and move retail merchandising units (RMU's)

  • Address tenant complaints and/or suggestions in a courteous manner

  • Assist with the removal of snow and ice by vehicle and/ or by hand

  • Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities on the interior/exterior areas of the property including, but not limited to, painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing repairs, clears drain stoppages, lighting, flooring, and roof

  • Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools

  • Repair, modify, move retail merchandising units as needed

  • Assist in the setup of events and install/take-down mall decor

  • Perform interior/exterior custodial duties as needed which may include sweeping, vacuuming, steam cleaning, gathering trash, empty trash receptacles; operate compactor; and landscaping

  • Assist with snow removal by vehicle and/or by hand (if applicable)

  • Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (including OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment

  • Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely

  • Assist with emergency planning and response in coordination with management team

  • Provide assistance and interact with the public and tenants as needed

  • Coordinates work assignments with outside contractors

  • Assists with training team members

  • Assists the management team with preparing and inputting budget information

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Must have Class C boilers license through State of Minnesota

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field

  • Valid Driver's License required

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently

  • Familiar with, or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook (email)
