Position Summary:
Claros Technologies is primarily focused on the research, development, scale-up, and commercialization of its PFAS destruction technology. We are seeking a collaborative, driven individual to join our team as a Senior Engineer. The Senior Engineer will partner with the technical and business teams to drive engineering deliverables aligned with desired customer outcomes. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, this individual will be tasked with contributing to specific projects that will progress the development of Claros' PFAS Destruction reactors.
Essential Job Functions:
Optimize and scale chemical process reactors, including components such as heat exchangers and flow control valves
Ensure safety regulations and protocols are met during the design phase for technological solutions
Contribute to the conceptualization of system hardware, software, and automation architecture with customer validation points and commissioning
Collaborate with leadership, peers, engineers, and chemists to progress projects either as a project leader or as an individual contributor
Oversee the design and implementation of Claros' PFAS destruction technology in alignment with customer specifications; evaluate and execute adjustments as necessary to ensure customer success
Partner with the business development team as a technical expert to support customer progression, from the initial discovery phase to implementation at customer worksites; at time may be required to oversee the installation of Claros solutions at partner sites

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experienced with designing reactors and integration of complex systems
Knowledge of pipe sizing and components, filtration methodologies, equipment design, etc.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; experience in a customer-facing role a plus
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot technological issues at partner sites as needed
Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
Strong technical know-how, with a jack-of-all-trades mindset
Inquisitive with a strong attention to detail
A plus if you have familiarity with any of the following:
NEC
UL508A
ASME VIII Pressure Vessels
CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD)
PLC Software (Allen Bradley, Siemens or similar)
ASME B31.1 Piping
Education – Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
Experience – 5-10 years experience designing industrial process skids

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $62.00/hr.
