Description
Robert Half is partnering with a Law Firm, and sourcing for a litigation paralegal for an ongoing temporary project.
The primary responsibility will entail creating comprehensive medical record chronologies and rendering legal and administrative support during the litigation process and preparation for trial.
Responsibilities:
Compile, analyze, and summarize medical records relating to personal injury cases.
Draft detailed and accurate medical record chronologies to best represent the facts of the case.
Assist attorneys with prepping legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, deposition notices, and subpoenas.
Deliver broad litigation support during all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, settlement, and trial.
Help attorneys in trial preparation by preparing trial exhibits, scheduling witness testimony, and coordinating logistics.
Assist with settlement calculations and negotiations.
Liaise with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel as needed.
Conduct legal research and investigation related to case facts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Degree or certification in Paralegal Studies from an accredited institution.
Proven experience as a paralegal in personal injury law; experience with medical record chronologies preferred.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to analyze and summarize medical records effectively.
Comprehensive knowledge of the litigation process, including the preparation and filing of legal documents.
Proficient in all stages of the trial process, including assisting with case strategies, organizing evidence, preparing witness testimonies, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and well-organized, able to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Strong research skills and proficiency in using legal databases.
