Job Description

Our Stationary Equipment Supervisor oversees the maintenance and operation of all stationary equipment within the airport facilities. This role involves supervising a team of technicians in performing regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the reliability and safety of equipment such as conveyor systems, escalators, and HVAC units. This position is tasked with scheduling maintenance activities, managing repair projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Effective communication skills are essential, as the supervisor coordinates with other departments, manages vendor relationships, and provides training and guidance to the maintenance team. The position requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills to maintain the optimal functioning of airport stationary equipment.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A STATIONARY EQUIPMENT SUPERVISOR

· Supervise a team of stationary equipment technicians and operators, providing guidance, training, and support in their day-to-day activities

· Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of stationary equipment such as baggage handling systems, conveyor belts, HVAC systems, and other essential airport equipment

· Collaborate with the Stationary Equipment Manager to implement preventive maintenance schedules and repair plans, prioritizing safety and operational requirements

· Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvements

· Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts, tools, and equipment for repairs and maintenance

· You have a great attention to detail

· You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks

· Strong customer service skills

· Like to build long term relationships with your customers

· Physical activity may include:

· Stand and walk for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift 70 pounds or more

· Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment

· Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Qualifications

· Minimum age of 18 years old

· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

· Minimum of 3 years' experience in equipment maintenance, with supervisory experience

· Strong technical knowledge of stationary equipment maintenance and repair

· Proficient in safety standards and maintenance best practices

· Excellent leadership and team management skills

· Good communication and organizational abilities

· Flexibility to work in different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

· Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets

· Ability to pass a drug screen

· Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
