The Public Works Transportation Planning division is seeking a candidate who have a strong interest in transportation engineering with experience using small tools (including a hammer and power drill) and enjoy working outdoors to be a part of their team. This position will be supporting the Transportation Data Collection team in performing crash data analysis, vehicle, bike, and pedestrian count data collection, and ArcGIS mapping. Location and hours: This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Public Works Facility located at 1600 Prairie Drive in Medina, MN 55340, and remote as job duties require. The Public Works Facility in Medina is not accessible by public transportation. This position will start in May 2025 and last until August or up to 13 weeks with flexible start and end dates. Interns are scheduled to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with some flexibility on work schedules. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must relocate or reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
