Director of Grocery Operations 

Salaried Position 

Bachman's is looking for a high-energy level, motivated, and experienced individual for the Director of Grocery Operations role. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of our Grocery Division. The purpose of this role is to provide leadership to Grocery Merchandisers and Stock Team needed to achieve their goals for sales and profitability as well as establish a team culture driven by our Core Values. 

POSITION DUTIES:

• Provide leadership to Grocery Merchandisers and Stock Team to achieve corporate goals. 

• Work directly with our grocery partner, Lunds & Byerlys to achieve brand standards and drive sales. 

• Execute remodels and major holiday sets and act as the liaison between the Grocery division and Bachman's Merchandisers and Marketing team. 

• Uphold Standard Operating Procedures (this includes compliance with current procedures and writing new and updated practices). 

• Use financial data to adjust the operation to improve profitability and the customer experience. 

• Stay on top of industry trends; introduce new equipment and practices to improve the operation. 

  QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4-Year degree, preferably in business related field.

• Strength in building teams through coaching, development, recruitment, and retention. 

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

• Financial acumen with the experience and ability to budget and analyze business and productivity in a retail environment. 

• Multi-store experience, desired. 

• Strong merchandising skills. 

• Experience with training. 

• Experience leading an operation as a vendor/leased partner, desired. 

• Horticulture degree or experience working knowledge, desired. 

  SCHEDULED HOURS:

  Day hours with occasional evenings for key holiday events. This position includes weekends.
