Director, Commercial Finance Location: Minneapolis, MN, US Job Family: Finance Country/Region: United States The Director of Commercial Finance for North America is responsible for driving and guiding the organization to meet financial commitments for the year. The Director will North America Finance and North America Commercial Excellence. The Director will be responsible for ensuring the interdependencies of US operations yield seamless results when consolidated at a North America level. Key activities include financial planning and analysis, budgeting and targeting, commission planning and reporting and performance management. Major Areas of Accountability Prepare guidance for delivering North America Chronic Care financial objectives Guide the organization on strategic priorities to achieve annual targets Own the 5-year forecast for the Chronic Care organization Lead high performing teams supporting the performance management & financial cadence for North America Chronic Care Own the financial reporting for the consolidated P&L and each entity P&L (US, Canada, Comfort Medical) Oversee controls practices for large financial entries produced by the Commercial Finance Organization Understand the interdependencies between direct and indirect financial data as it relates to monthly performance management Partner with other North America teams on investment cases and strategic initiatives Lead the North American cap cost management process including understanding dashboards and other company metrics Drive performance insights and financial acumen to all stakeholders Develop forecasting processes and deliver reporting and insights that enable business leaders to meet their forecasted targets Develop and execute salesforce commission plans and drive efficiencies in the commission process Serve on key leadership councils and play an active advisory role for strategic decisions Provide FP&A support for North America administrative functions including Finance, HR, Facilities, and Legal Support special projects for Chronic Care North America Functional Leadership Perform all elements of the Coloplast People Review cycle for direct reports Ensure coaching and ongoing talent development Support the Coloplast Leadership Principles in actions and the team's work Accomplish employee results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, developing, while understanding Coloplast values Conform with Coloplast Code of Conduct and all local Compliance Standards Conform with Coloplast Q/EHS Policy Other duties and projects as assigned Basic Qualifications BA in Finance, Accounting or related discipline required. MBA preferred 10+ years of relevant experience, including a track record of strong leadership Medical device industry experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of medical device and DME experience preferred Excellent understanding of corporate policies and procedures coupled with ability to identify required improvements to established financial processes Results driven, decisive, and confident in communicating and influencing at all levels within the organization Experience with handling all elements of people management ranging from recruitment activities to administering employee performance reviews Solid business acumen and an appreciation of financial contractual implications Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks efficiently and independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills A team player with the ability to use strong verbal reasoning skills to analyze, assess corporate risk, and communicate to appropriate internal stakeholders Pursuing an ambitious growth agenda, Coloplast develops and markets products and services that make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
