The following are examples of this commitment in the anesthesia and pain medicine service: Time spent off the clinic floor is flexible, providing an opportunity to work remotely or on site as needed. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree along with advanced training in veterinary anesthesiology and pain medicine. Preference will be given to individuals who are board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA) or European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA). We also work closely with the local zoos, the University of Minnesota Raptor Center, the University of Minnesota Research Animal Resources, the Anesthesiology Department at the Medical School and other organizations such as the local biomedical in ustry. Our team works collaboratively with all other specialties in the Veterinary Medical Center to deliver sedation, pain management and anesthetic care to patients, as well as consultation on sedation, anesthesia and analgesia for both our in-house colleagues and referring veterinarians.
