JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities: Participate, develop and execute overall warranty strategy, process and procedures for gear products. Provide technical expertise, training and development to other departments in support of product quality and warranty mitigation. This includes quality technicians, team leads and other supporting positions as required. Interface and report warranty status to appropriate departments and leadership during daily management and management review meetings. Manage the Warranty Database System to track and identify issues and trends, provide data for performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Interact and communicate with customers on warranty issues in a professional manner to resolution. Manage the creation, revision, maintenance and retention of all warranty SOPs, work instructions and records. Maintain and create strategic KPI\'s and daily management for all products and productions areas/facilities supported to promote problem solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Work with operations/procurement to expedite product repair and return to the customer. Maintain relevant engineering processes and procedures established by the company. Supervise equipment maintenance, calibration and floor space for warranty activities. Provide supervision and support to all direct reports Develop a high-performance team by engaging, coaching and training team members. Aid in providing analysis and data to other areas for the development of product and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Key Accountabilities Effectively supervise and direct all Warranty activities on a daily basis; establish clear performance expectations and accountability for department associates. Create, review and/or approve final customer facing warranty reports and disposition. Determine both the actual root cause of failures and defects and suggest corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Execute decisions on warranty issues and risk mitigation/management. Monitor and manage costs associated with warranty determination and repair/replacement. Implement continuous improvement processes that increase productivity and improve overall plant performance. Determines staffing requirements to meet warranty response and delivery expectations. Direct and prioritize multiple warranty return jobs in a high pace environment. Supervise employees in the areas of personnel actions in compliance with company policies. Grow and develop team\'s knowledge and skills through coaching and guidance. Job Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in related engineering discipline- Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent education and work experience with warranty. 8+ years\' Engineering experience with warranty of an industrial product.
