Description We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role will involve the research and development of advanced medical monitors and will require strong technical abilities, understanding of modern software practices, and a vision for software development. This role is open to remote work as well.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement portions of the software for an existing device, working cross functionally to understand needs and requirements.

• Contribute to the creation of schedules and tasking to facilitate the execution of development completion and delivery of software.

• Apply strong software engineering expertise to design and implement robust software architectures.

• Develop software that will be deployed in medical products using modern development practices such as: design patterns, strong object-oriented principles, unit testing, automated testing, and software evaluation tools.

• Participate in the formal documentation processes for requirements generation, software architecture, and detailed designs.

• Troubleshoot kernel user interface communication and thread interactions and other general issues in an embedded multithreaded environment.

• Apply cybersecurity knowledge and understanding of secure coding methods and practices.

• Familiarity with software configuration management, issue tracking, and version control. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in software engineering and development.

• Proficiency in C++ and other relevant coding languages.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and principles.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve software issues effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

• Ability to document software processes and functions clearly and accurately.

• Experience in UI design and implementation for user-friendly software solutions.

• Familiarity with operating systems and peripheral equipment.

• Knowledge and experience in cyber security practices to ensure software safety.

• Proficient in automation testing for quality assurance.

• Background in healthcare or medical coverage software development would be a plus.

• Ability to research and stay up-to-date with latest software engineering practices and technologies.
