Responsibilities The Nurse Manager Intensive Care Services is responsible for the coordination of patient care and patient flow. The Nurse Manager consults with staff, physicians and other hospital Leaders to ensure patient needs are met and quality outcomes are achieved. The Nurse Manager works under the direction of the Nursing Director. This positon plays an integral role in patient flow, throughput and clinical operations. The Nurse Manager assists in overseeing all Performance Improvement activities. The Nurse Manager maintains oversight and monitoring of plans for improvement of clinical services; patient satisfaction and employee engagement. The Nurse Manager collaborates and problem solves with the Nursing Administrator, physicians, Department Heads and house supervision to assure that patient care needs as related to other departments/disciplines are met. Join the Garnet Health team and let your excellence shine. 3 day work week with total hours of 37.5 per week, Monday through Friday, 7 pm - 730 am, with two weekend shifts a month. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). Qualifications Minimum Education: Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution Minimum Experience: Three to five years clinical inpatioint acute critical care experience with 2 years in a leadershi role preferred. Required Certification/Registration: Ongoing Current RN Registration Working ACLS PALS required within 6 months TNCC within 1 year MERT Training within 6 months of hire or transfer CRRT Training within 1 year of hire or transfer *Staff will be required to complete a CRRT Refresher every two yearsConditions: Working Conditions: Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well- lighted, heated or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards. Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 10 lbs. Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
