Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC operator to join our manufacturing facility. As a machinist, you will operate a cell consisting of three different machines, including mills, lathes, CNC saws, or broaches. Your role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the availability of raw materials, conducting minor quality control on finished parts, and performing first-piece inspections using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. You may also be required to perform 1-3 setups per shift with support from team leaders if necessary.
Responsibilities
Operate a cell consisting of multiple machines (mills, lathes, CNC saws, or broaches).
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the availability of raw materials.
Conduct minor quality control on finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Perform first-piece inspections.
Execute 1-3 setups per shift with assistance from team leaders if needed.
Essential Skills
2+ years of CNC machining experience (Mill or Lathe).
Proven ability to perform offsets and tooling changes.
Ability to read in-depth blueprints with an understanding of GD&T.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
NIMS certifications.
Experience with HAAS machinery (Mill side).
Experience with Mori machinery (Lathe side).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Michigan City, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
