Description

We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our client's Accounting team. This role focuses on the management of the daily, monthly and yearly cost accounting duties for a rapidly growing manufacturing company headquartered in Miami.

Responsibilities:

• Implement new policies and procedures regarding inventory stored at distributors, establish cost values and monthly cost analysis and reporting

• Manage the inhouse inventory process to include cycle counts and inventory levels

• Reconciliation of sub-ledgers to the General Ledger

• Cost analysis and projections

• Maintain and evaluate costing for accuracy and variances

• Perform yearly cost roll up and reporting

• Support management with month end close, quarter and annual close as it relates to cost function

• Work on Ad Hoc cost and pricing projects as needed

  Requirements

• 5 plus years of hands-on cost accounting experience

• Proficiency with consigned inventory

• Proficiency with Great Plains Dynamics and advanced Excel skills

• Knowledge of MRP systems

• Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
