The Finance Data and Experiences organization (FD&E) builds scaled solutions that enable Microsoft to run its end-to-end business more effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will have an opportunity to work with the latest cloud technologies to build industry-leading business management solutions for your customers. In this role, you will work with Azure, Synapse, and other cloud-native platforms to help architect and develop a suite of future-state analytics capabilities.

While operating in this role, you will do the following (not limited to):

• Assess, recommend, and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, and processes from Microsoft and industry.

• Support and influence the team culture customer-centricity and continuous improvement.

• Implement practices that ensure accurate, safe, and efficient releases for our services.

• Implement and maintain reliable design and development processes.

• Collaborate with others to solve complex problems keeping pace with our global business.

• Leverage sound engineering practices and principles.

• Flight code changes, use telemetry and analytics to take a understanding customer impact.

• Provide technical feedback to our product engineering partners to evolve and mature our Azure services and Power Platform.

• Work with multiple client partner teams to implement cohesive end-to-end experiences.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

• Business level fluency to read, write and speak English and Spanish.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.

• 1+ years of software development experience with big data processing systems or online services.

• 1+ years of experience with any of the following: Python, C++, DAX, C#, Excel, DAX, Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, SQL.

• Passion for building highly scalable, reliable, cloud services, and data.

• Ability to communicate technical details clearly across teams.

• Proficient analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design.

• Experience building cloud services on Azure is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Finance data and business rhythms is a plus.

• Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes.

• Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies.
