Amazon looking for a Launch Operations Program Manager for Amazon Logistics. This position has to be comfortable interfacing with various functional teams, have a passion for data analysis, and process improvement based on metrics.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical, customer-focused and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. This Program Manager Integration will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results with the highest standards in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
Key job responsibilities
Deep dive and analyze key business performance metrics, identify gaps, create plans to mitigate and drive to closure.
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
Own regular business reviews with leadership and operational teams to audit ongoing performance against key metrics and program goal.
Cross functional coordination and alignment between stakeholders.
Define new goals to measure the success of our program and drive health of the program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communication across all levels and teams in the organization: senior leaders, technical teams, finance, fulfillment, and business leaders.
Support the launch of new operations in logistics.
Design de process map of the operations.
A day in the life
As a Launch Operations Program Manager within Amazon, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You’ll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.
You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.
About the team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles ‘last mile’ delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers’ delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.
There are two sides to what we do. Our ‘under the roof’ associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.
Meanwhile, our ‘on the road’ people work with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. We look for new ways to overcome industry wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, supported by a portfolio of cutting-edge vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) and technology to help us do just that.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
Completed Bachelor's degree
+5 Years of general experience
Spanish and English fluency (C1+).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in first mile operation.
Solid understanding in operations and launching new processes.
Experience tracking metrics to determine improvements and drive solutions.
Experience providing status and results of projects.
Experience in process improvement tools.
Data analyst and SQL knowledge.
+2 years of work experience working in Transportation and/or Logistics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an innate understanding of presenting data to different levels of leadership and sections of the organization.
