Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry provides direct patient care in a hospital setting, primarily focusing on monitoring and managing patients with heart-related conditions. This role involves assessing, monitoring, and interpreting cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment, responding to critical changes in patient status, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. The RN is responsible for administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and providing education and emotional support to patients and their families. Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential in ensuring patient safety and quality care in this fast-paced environment.
Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command.
Documents the nursing care plan and incorporates the nursing process following the standard of care for patient care area.
Connects with and establish relationships with the patient and their family/caregivers using therapeutic communication skills.

Qualifications
Minimum:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
AZ State RN License or Compact State License
Current American Heart Association ACLS
Current American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider
Basic computer skills
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred:
BSN
One year recent acute care experience
Pay Range
$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
