Kohl's Summer Camp Primary Teacher in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin

When: June 16th - August 15th, with shifts varying upon the Summer Camp hours of operation from 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:30am to 5:00pm on Fridays. *Extended care will be offered the weeks of August 18th and August 25th. Where: Kohl’s Family Center - W165 N5800 Ridgewood Drive Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 Details: Camp is open to children 5-10 years of age. Students will enjoy weekly field trips, in house activities, plentiful outside time, and teacher planned activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES FOLLOW KOHL'S AND CENTER POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AND STATE LICENSING AND REGULATIONS

As Primary Summer Camp Teacher you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering a defined learning environment for the education of children at the Kohl’s Summer Camp program

  • Providing daily care for the children in your age group/classroom

  • Ensuring the health and safety of the children enrolled when at camp and attending on-site or off-site field trips.

  • Executing classroom duties including creating and implementing lesson plans, organizing the classroom, and maintaining open and clear parent communication.

    This position is eligible to receive Kohl’s 15% associate discount, with pop-ups to 35% (no exclusions, includes Sephora).

QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED

+ + Early Childhood I (Introduction to Early Childhood Education) and Early Childhood II (Skills and Strategies for the Early Childhood Teacher) or equivalent completed

  • At least 6 months of experience working with school age children in an educational setting

  • If hired, Drug Screen, Health Exam, and TB Test required, (costs covered by company)

PREFERRED

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

  • Superior organizational and computer skills

  • Curriculum development, lesson planning, and training experience

  • Customer service experience

  • First Aid and Infant/Child CPR with AED training

  • Abusive Head Trauma Certified

  • Child Abuse/Neglect Certified

  • Regular attendance is key to performing the job

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift 40lbs

  • Standing, sitting, squatting, bending, twisting, walking, and moving at a fast pace

  • Flexibility within hours of operation
