Hiring for both shifts Monday through Friday:

1st – 6am – 2:30pm

2nd – 2pm -10:30pm

Summary of the Position:

Supports all receiving, warehousing, staging, and distribution functions in Warehouse Operations. This includes materials handling in the areas of receiving, labeling, storage, finished goods, raw material, and package distribution, staging of raw materials for production, housekeeping, handling waste, and SAP data entry via RF device and terminal entry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities associated with raw material receipts. Activities may include unloading of incoming raw material shipments, confirmation of packing slip data, verifying the identification matches the Certificate of Analysis and MSDS, and application of SAP storage unit labels to each container. Enters receipt data into SAP.

  • Process outbound shipments. This includes picking /staging material and verification, palletizing, stretch wrapping, placement of required pallet labels, and truck loading.

  • Pull and stage raw materials and supplies to production as required. Enters transfer information into SAP via RF device or through computer.

  • Receive and deliver MRO small packages (Fed Ex, UPS, etc.). Distribute copy paper to manufacturing, plant offices and corporate offices as needed. Maintain MRO delivery log. Enter receipt data into SAP.

  • Record all material movements into SAP either with the RF terminal or via computer entry.

  • Perform Cycle Counts and Inventory Counts as required.

  • Unload new pallets and places them in warehouse racks. Loads scrap pallets on the pallet trailer.

  • Monitor the warehouse for proper storage unit labeling of materials, damaged material, and general cleanliness of the all-warehouse areas.

  • Receives approved paperwork for rejected raw materials and creates appropriate labels. Removes rejected material to staging area. Processes Material Destruction per appropriate SOP’s.

  • Perform daily inspection of forklift.

  • Provide coverage for all areas of the warehouse as needed. This may include putting up and pulling orders and taking out trash, barrels, and waste. Perform other duties as requested.

Education

High School diploma or GED or equivalent.

Experience

0-1 year of related experience in warehouse activities which must include stand-up forklift proficiency. Manufacturing experience preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences and to make entries in logbooks and on check sheets. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures and policies, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

Ability to add and subtract in all units of measure, including time, volume, weight and distance using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to use measuring instruments and simple hand tools. Ability to be attentive to tasks at hand. Ability to understand and follow management and supervisory directives.

The employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and to perform overhead lifting and reaching. The employee must be able to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 30 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to vibration and to wet or humid indoor conditions. The noise level is moderate to loud.
