The Director, Transfer Pricing is responsible for assisting the Vice President, Transfer Pricing and Tax Controversy with managing the company's global transfer pricing strategy, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, and optimizing the Company's tax position. This role involves strategic planning, risk management, and collaboration with various departments to ensure the effective implementation of transfer pricing policies.

This position is part of the Danaher Corporate Tax Department with a preference to be based in Cleveland, OH area office or will work remotely.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the company's global transfer pricing strategies through collaboration with Operating Companies and outside service provider to ensure compliance with international regulations and guidelines.

  • Manage global engagement with outside service provider for preparation of global transfer pricing documentation, encompassing over 250 local files, the OECD Master File, comparable benchmarks, and Country-by-Country Reporting analysis, compilation, notifications, and filings including EU public reporting.

  • Monitor the continuously evolving landscape of transfer pricing regulations and assess how these shifts influence our company's standing and strategy.

  • Monitor business changes through regular Opco contact and the Business Change Management Portal to ensure compliance and identify potential operational planning opportunities, including value chain design, intercompany transaction planning, and pricing optimization.

  • Design innovative workflows for automating, digitalizing, virtualizing, and visualizing transfer pricing processes and deliverables to increase visibility for analysis, planning, and defense strategies.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, mathematics, or statistics with 14+ years experience OR Master's degree in field with 12+ years experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 9+ years experience.

  • Expertise working in tax and working in a global tax environment with transfer pricing

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: transfer pricing studies, financial statement analysis, quantitative and competitive analysis, statistical sampling and econometrics, plan evaluation and/or operational performance analysis

  • Knowledge of the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a thorough understanding of the U.S. Transfer Pricing Regulations and international transfer pricing environment

  • Possessing strong critical thinking skills to apply transfer pricing concepts to various fact patterns, and effectively communicate these concepts in both technical and easily understandable language.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel – 10% travel, overnight, domestic

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $175,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
