POSITION SUMMARY: The Hybrid Therapies Clinical Specialist (HCS) will primarily support field sales for growth, education, and market development in the Cardiac Surgery and Electrophysiology (EP) departments' ORs, EP labs, and related departments in the following: Training of surgical OR and EP staff personnel in the use of company devices and relevant or associated procedures. Market development and therapy awareness as it relates to concomitant and minimally invasive cardiac surgery ablation and left atrial appendage management procedures. Guidance and support for physicians during live surgical ablation procedures, utilization and/or operation of company technology within the OR and the EP/Cath lab Patient support and follow-up where requested by physician, operating room staff and EP lab staff This position requires teamwork and strategic planning with the sales force and Education teams. The focus of the HCS is to support the account development process for the company by providing a resource to the sales manager, physician, EP staff and operating room staff. The HCS must be able to train and support the physician and their staff in various procedures and support him/her technically in the O.R., EP Lab, and other areas and during follow-up patient care as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Conduct training for the physician and medical staff with modalities such as didactic and hands-on laboratory approaches Provide technical and clinical support during surgical procedures: all stages of the procedures Make calls on physicians and support staff as necessary to discuss AtriCure technology, training programs, and clinical programs and trials Develop, create, and organize hcp education opportunities and functions to drive awareness and knowledge of AtriCure therapies and technologies.
