Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Pediatric Trauma Program Manager works with the Patient Care Director and manages the Pediatric Trauma Program. The Pediatric Trauma Program Manager assists the organization in achieving the highest quality and best possible outcomes for pediatric trauma care in a cost-effective manner. This individual is responsible for trauma care management, program development, program marketing, performance and improvement, injury prevention, education and research in the area of pediatric trauma. The Pediatric Trauma Program Manager is accountable for linking the pre-hospital, emergency department and inpatient interdisciplinary services as it relates to staff, patient and family education, and standard of care, continuous quality improvement and research. Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Preferred/Optional: Master’s in nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Three years in Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care, Emergency Trauma or equivalent experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or Nurse Compact License.
Preferred/Optional: Trauma Nurse Core Course or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses or Trauma Care After Resuscitation within six months’ of hire.
