About the role: The Sr. Commercial EH&S Manager is responsible for establishing a robust system of EH&S standards across all BSC commercial activities within the North America region. This role will partner with site leaders in EH&S, facilities, occupational health, security, credentialing, HR and global real estate to develop and implement a comprehensive and sustainable EH&S system that delivers strong programs regarding radiation safety, fleet management, ergonomics, field sales and clinical operations, while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time Your responsibilities will include: Developing, executing, and sustaining required EHS programs for commercial office locations and field operations across the region; implement strategic and tactical plans to assure EHS regulatory surveillance and compliance Implementing safety programs (radiation, motor vehicle, office ergonomics, field work etc) to investigate and reduce injuries and incidents; manage commercial EHS programs for acquisition and integration Creating and implementing EHS metrics on leading and lagging indicators (e.g. TRIR, continuous improvement closure, energy, water, waste etc) Executing commercial office emergency response and natural disaster preparedness plans Conducting risk assessments to identify and reduce EHS risks and drive continuous improvement efforts Creating and implementing EHS training programs and support related credentialing for commercial team members and stakeholders Collaborating with Global Supply Chain teams and site leads on various commercial programs that overlap with manufacturing (e.g. radiation safety for commercial equipment) Collaborating with cross functional teams on EHS issues and related requests Managing communication and stakeholder engagement with key commercial personnel Nurturing a culture that hires and develops talent; promote continuous growth and development Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or an EH&S-related discipline Minimum 8 years of experience with EH&S in commercial and field operations Ability to lead, coach, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional and multi-location teams Ability to travel up to 10% within US & Canada Preferred qualifications: Experience overseeing multiple site locations (commercial and manufacturing) Experience working in medical device, pharmaceutical or similar industry. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
