Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Journeyman Painters for projects located in and around Manitowoc, WI. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of up to $27/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope:

• Paint surfaces of metal parts using spray painting equipment and work aids

• Utilize specific surface preparation and painting techniques as required

• Apply a variety of coatings including enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and military coatings from different manufacturers

• Consistently meet paint thickness requirements

• Mix paint precisely to client and customer specifications

• Document and record required data to comply with specifications

• Clean and prepare part surfaces to be contamination-free

• Inspect parts prior to painting for any needed repairs

• Mask parts according to print notes for overspray prevention

• Hang or set up parts prior to painting

• Inspect painted parts for proper thickness, appearance, and needed repairs

• Sand, mask, blend, and finish to match surrounding areas when completing paint repairs

• Operate spray booth, oven, and ventilation system per specific instructions

• Maintain paint equipment, including spray guns, booths, and filters

• Read and comprehend fabrication drawings, cutting orders, bills of material, and other project plans or specifications

• Accurately follow project instructions and specifications

• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of spray painting experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

• Alternatively, a technical college certificate with 2 years of spray painting experience, or an associate degree with 1 year of spray painting experience

• Experience with spray painting in an industrial setting is highly preferred

• Experience in metal fabrication or parts manufacturing is preferred

• Familiarity with industrial coatings is a plus

• Proficient in using various paint equipment including gravity, pressure, and air assist systems

• Strong attention to detail and consistent quality performance

• Ability to stand on ladders, crawl, kneel, use a creeper, bend down, and stretch to apply coating on varying part shapes and sizes

• Knowledge of industrial coatings and painting techniques
