Position Overview/Responsibilities for the IT Service Desk Professional I :

  • Provide IT support over the phone, including but not limited to, desktop applications, network troubleshooting, and clinical application support
  • Utilize IT tools and expertise to diagnose and resolve IT incidents, aiming to resolve the majority of issues at first contact
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, providing regular status updates and follow-ups to ensure satisfaction
  • Log and document troubleshooting steps and solutions in line with current knowledgebase practices
  • Escalate incidents to the appropriate next level support team when necessary
  • Participate in on-call support as scheduled during non-business hours
  • Contribute to additional tasks and projects as assigned by Service Desk leadership

Required Skills for IT Service Desk Professional I :

  • Minimum of a High School diploma/GED and one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or at least 1 year of customer service-related experience and/or training
  • Six months of related experience in IT support
  • Proficiency in computer, printer, and network troubleshooting and installation procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Microsoft products
  • Experience in resolving issues with healthcare/clinical applications
  • Superior customer service skills and phone etiquette
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed and scheduled
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
