Job Description:

This position is responsible for the ChangeMan ZMF (mainframe product) evaluation, design, development, testing, operational maintenance, protection, and support of UPS technology assets through the entire life cycle. He/She contributes to the management of the evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, performance, capacity tuning, and support of third-party infrastructures, applications, and appliances. This position executes analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of storage and back-up and recovery solutions. He/She provides analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of an Information Systems Security model for UPS Information Services (I.S.) environments (e.g., mainframe, midrange, open systems and x86/x64 architectures, mobile and fixed devices, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, and supports customized zOS installations and third-party software to meet business requirements.

• Quickly acquires knowledge and skills in UPS mainframe ChangeMan ZMF application lifecycle and scheduler.

• Evaluates, implements, and maintains specific mainframe and distributed platforms for software version and security compliance.

• Develops design documentation and diagrams to meet business requirements.

• Designs, builds, tests, and implements customized automation solutions for business needs, security compliance, disaster recovery, and technology refresh.

• Evaluates, recommends, and supports third-party products to meet business requirements and support business decisions.

• Designs and documents business continuity plans to identify threats and provide effective prevention and recovery.

• Administers automation tools to improve application batch processing performance.

• Establishes automation processes for various applications to ensure efficiency.

• Monitors applications to meet service level agreements (SLAs).

• Identifies optimal approaches to introduce automation solutions for new systems.

• Creates monitoring and alerting solutions for systems to maintain quality standards.

• Maintains and supports systems management product and utilities to meet operational requirements.

• Develops software distribution packages to deliver, install, and configure software.

• Handles support requests, conducts root cause investigations, and engages third-party vendor support services as needed.

• Supports the manager in coaching others and identifies developmental opportunities for individuals and the team.

• Creates and maintains project plans, identifies affected functions and groups for change management, and provides status communications for senior management.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

• Mainframe ChangeMan ZMF and Project management experience 5+ years

• Familiarity with IBM z/OS, mainframe scheduler, USS structures, digital certificates, RACF standards, PowerShell coding, REXX (Restructured Extended Executor) and JCLs ((Job Control Language) coding, custom ISPF (Interactive System Productivity Facility) dialogs creation

• Experience in supporting global computer operations, IBM z/OS installation, backup, replication, disaster recovery solutions

• Knowledge of SOX, PCI, GDPR regulations and O365 expertise
