JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Research Center Program Coordinator will coordinate all day-to-day operations of the new NIH-funded Health-First Climate Action Research Center, including (1) schedule internal meetings (2) arrange all aspects of the annual meeting of the External Advisory Board, including travel and briefing materials (3) assist in setting up and running the Pilot Grants Program of the Center (4) lead the writing and preparation of NIH-compliant annual reports and (5) monitor relevant new grant opportunities. While the Administrative Core of this new Center is within the SMPH Department of Population Health Sciences, the interdisciplinary nature of this center includes other SMPH departments, the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, the Data Science Institute, as well as the Medical College of Wisconsin and UW-Milwaukee. Responsibilities: Plans and coordinates the administrative, operational, outreach and promotional activities related to research studies that may be collaborative and independent. Serves as a subject matter expert. 25% Coordinates the daily activities and contracts related to one or more research program(s) 15% Assists in the development, coordination, and facilitation of trainings and workshops for internal and external audiences to disseminate research program developments and information 10% Plans, develops, and implements processes and protocols to support research aims 10% Serves as a unit liaison and subject matter expert among internal and external stakeholder groups, collaborates across disciplines and functional areas, provides program information, and promotes the accomplishments and developments of scholars and research initiatives 10% Monitors program budget(s) and approves unit expenditures 10% Develops policies, procedures, and institutional agreements on behalf of the program 10% Manage the small Pilot Grants Program and monitor for new external grant opportunities 10% Lead the writing and gathering of information required for NIH annual reports and prep materials for annual External Advisory Board meeting Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for...
