JOB REQUIREMENTS: Advanced Assembly, Inc., located in University Research Park on the west side of Madison, is looking to add a Maintenance Technician I to our well-trained and experienced staff. Advanced Assembly, Inc. is an electronics manufacturing services provider of electronic assemblies and products, including the Captioned Telephone (CapTel). This full-time position offers a second shift schedule of Monday Thursday, 2:45pm 12:45am, a competitive starting wage and a full benefits package. Wage depending on experience. Job Description: The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and preventive maintenance of electronics manufacturing equipment. Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Understand and follow all applicable safety procedures, specifically \"Lock Out-Tag Out\" (LOTO). Monitor the quality of the product and adjust the machine to comply with quality standards. Troubleshoot AC voltage single phase 120v up to 3 phase 480v systems. Utilize electrical schematics and electrical measurement devices, i.e., multi-meters, Oscilloscope, etc., to troubleshoot and repair various manufacturing equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled. Assist other Technicians in unscheduled maintenance and repairs. Support and participate in the 5S program to ensure tools and spare parts are organized and readily available as needed. Perform electronic and mechanical calibration related to manufacturing equipment. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor. Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports. Associate\'s degree in related electronics/mechatronics field, or relevant experience. Working knowledge of AC/DC drives, power supplies, PC boards, PLC (programmable logic computing) programming. Read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Basic knowledge of AC/DC circuit analysis. Knowledge of drives/controllers and sensors. Experience with vision systems a plus. Basic knowledge of machine progra s, i.e., ladder logic, assembly/machine language. Ability to read, speak, and understand both verbal and written instructions in the English language. Knowledge of Print Circuit board automation is a plus. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Good verbal and written skills to communicate well in a diverse team environment. Physical ability to move freely and have sufficient reflexes to perform the same tasks repeatedly using hands to complete the task at a constant rate so the assembly line will not be interrupted. Hand-eye coordination necessary to work with small electronic parts. Ability to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
