Amazon Business Intelligence Engineer I, PAM in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

Our PAM team owns models and services to optimize world wide Supply Chain planning. Our models influence how much inventory we will place into each warehouse and how much we will ship to the customer across North America, Europe and Japan. In close collaboration with transportation, labor planning, finance and other Supply Chain technology teams, we drive improvements in speed, cost and sustainability of our network. We are seeking Day 1 minded BIE for our team with mix of science and business knowledge to further improve our models and scale them globally.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable optimization models that drive world wide supply chain planning

• Establish key metrics and data pipelines that track impact of our models on delivery speed and cost

• Closely work with our Software Engineering team on deploying the models into scalable cloud infrastructure

• Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

A day in the life

We are now seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer II to help us scale PAM for worldwide operations. This is a Day 1 opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial and pioneering team building from the ground up. You will be at the forefront of building models, developing data solutions, and creating new visualization metrics to enhance S&OP activities and drive process automation. You will play a vital role in maintaining and creating new data pipelines and create new models consumed by worldwide S&OP and operation teams. If you are someone who has shown success in analyzing, diving deep in complex data, streamlining and identifying process improvement opportunities and pioneering new ways to do things, we would like to talk to you.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)

  • Experience using SQL

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C+- Experience in the data/BI space

  • Bachelor's Degree in sciences, engineering, finance or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, finance, supply chain, logistics, computer science or equivalent

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management/Operations Research.
