Lockheed Martin Quality Assurance Engineer Sr (Second Shift) - Lufkin, TX Lufkin, Texas

Description: You will be the Quality Assurance Engineer Sr for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) team. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, ensuring the highest level of quality for our customers.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Quality Assurance Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for supporting the Second Shift operations, developing and reviewing quality standards, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. You will work closely with design and production teams to drive quality excellence in our products and processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Performing scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations

-Conducting Quality Management System and Special Process surveys

-Providing technical liaison support related to design and quality engineering matters

-Coaching and mentoring lower-level QEs and new hires

-Collaborating with Quality Program Management, Engineering, and other teams to ensure quality requirements are met

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

-STEM degree at the bachelors level or above (Preferred disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or related) or equivalent/experience/combined education.

-Ability to work on the Second Shift full time.

-Previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the development of manufactured and procured product.

-Expert in interpreting drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection

methods and able to translate into work instructions.

-Expert ability in using causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.

-Expert with control and disposition of non-conforming products.

-Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement. Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt Training

-Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

-Effective Communication and presentation Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Technical Writing.

-Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration.

-Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:

-STEM degree at Bachelors level or higher preferred.

-Expert with verification and validation of test equipment, test software, and/or systems.

-Extensive experience in Circuit Card Assembly, Wire Harness, and Sub-Assemblies manufacturing

including in-depth familiarity with manufacturing standards such as J-STD-001, IPC-610/620 and

various MIL-STD workmanship and acceptance specifications.

-Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.

-Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt Training

-Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment.

-Thorough understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

-Experience with Electronic Standards - IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, etc.

-Experience working with Government customers.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
