Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? As a Senior Process Improvement Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing production processes, driving operational improvements, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is 100% onsite, offering hands-on opportunities to make a significant impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Equipment Management:
Own all equipment and tooling in the production area post-Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) sign-off.
Act as the primary troubleshooting resource for plant processes, partnering with maintenance staff to resolve issues effectively.
Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), focusing on availability and performance.
Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Controls Engineering:
Lead preventive maintenance planning and resolve root-cause issues affecting safety, quality, and delivery.
Drive uptime improvements through equipment simplification and standardization.
Design, specify, and justify equipment purchases aligned with manufacturing and safety standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Champion problem-solving initiatives, root cause analysis, and process optimization.
Lead Kaizen activities to enhance manufacturing line efficiency and operator performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices and countermeasures.
Safety Leadership:
Identify and implement safety improvements within the production area.
Address safety-related action items, including corrective measures from near misses and ergonomic assessments.
New Product Introduction (NPI):
Provide manufacturing feedback during the design and launch phases of new products.
Coordinate equipment qualification and ensure seamless integration into existing processes.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years in manufacturing engineering, operations, or quality roles support roles or equivalent military experience.
2+ years in leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (unionized experience preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in manufacturing processes, including thermoforming, extrusion, PLC controls, and robotics.
Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
Additional Skills:
Proven ability to troubleshoot high-volume manufacturing equipment.
Experience in high volume manufacturing environment.
Experience in material flow
project management and analytical/problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to scope and analyze cross-functional problems to generate/implement solutions.
Must have experience applying time studies and/or standard work.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment with both hourly and salary personnel to meet the needs of operators, the program and the business.
