Hogan Lovells Partner Compensation Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky
JOB DESCRIPTIONReview partnership agreement arrangements; calculate and disburse compensation to equity and non-equity partners. Prepare and reconcile complex distribution calculations, compensation schedules, and cash flows; Coordinate deduction schedules with various departments.Prepare internal email announcements for estimated and actual tax and earnings distributions.Prepare estimated and actual individual financial memos for tax and earnings distributions.Investigate, research, and resolve partner compensation-related issues; Communicate results, analysis, discrepancies, and/or errors to individual partners. Prepare and post general ledger entries for all disbursements and activity; Review and reconcile compensation monthly, quarterly, and annually.Maintain and manage compensation tracking spreadsheets and databases; import/export data into/from various databases, massage data, analyze relationships, and formulate desired output.Assist Partner Compensation Manager with any compensation-related schedules and analysis as necessary; assist with interim and annual audit procedures.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLSAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsAbility to prepare accurate and detailed work product to a high standardWorking knowledge of databases and strong math aptitudeAbility to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines with excellent attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills while managing large amounts of data and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projectsExercises good judgment and decision makingEDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE Four (4)+ years of compensation-related experience preferred.Experience with payroll software; Workday desirable.Experience with a general ledger system; 3E preferred.Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of practical knowledge and training/education.
