Actalent Sr. Project Manager (Design-Build) in Los Angeles, California

Job Title: Senior Project ManagerJob Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and direction of project management activities to meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule from initial project identification through construction closeout. This role may involve supervising office/field administrative staff, project/field engineers, assistant project/construction managers, and other assigned staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform or manage the work of others to obtain, maintain, and manage data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, contractors/subcontractors, or other project-related entities.

  • Serve as the primary contact and liaison for the owner and principal partner entities for the contract, design, systems, procedures, and related deliverables.

  • Develop project-specific procedures and documentation, and consult with the owner on design and construction contracts and related A/E systems for the project.

  • Ensure contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications comply with construction/project requirements.

  • Obtain, maintain, and manage data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, and other project-related entities.

  • Represent the owner, project, and related parties in public forums.

  • Oversee project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, organization, systems, and project closeout.

  • Lead project meetings, including documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses.

  • Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Manager and an additional 5 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager supervising staff.

  • Advanced knowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts, and delivery methods.

  • Experience in alternative project delivery methods including Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build.

  • Thorough understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications.

  • Applied experience in project accounting, cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings.

  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related systems.

  • Proficiency with various document control systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.

  • Experience with new construction and modernization of government facilities.

  • Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer.

  • Certified Construction Manager.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $185000.00/yr.
