Description
The Specialty Multi Partner (SMP) is responsible for driving sales in the SM Channel. The SMP is a selling specialist who possesses expertise across beauty categories; sales, coaching and training, event execution and store-level relationship building. Passion for cosmetics, loads of energy and a positive attitude, sell thru savvy, excellent communication skills and a reputation for follow-through and follow up are essential. This role will cover Specialty Multi location specific business. They will spend 90% of their time in store, leading the sales activities, on the sales floor, coaching, training, interacting with store leadership and brand-dedicated staff, and consumers to drive client acquisition, engagement, and conversion in doors focused on training and educating the consumer and retailers on their brand products and brand story. And uphold brand merchandising standards. The SMP will plan, coordinate, schedule and execute training and events within their region/territory to ensure proper positioning and deliverance of a universal education brand message that drives retail sales.
Job Responsibilities
Retail Sales
• Consumer Facing Side-by-Side Selling/Driving Conversion through coaching activities, selling, and training team. Coordinate optimal store visit schedule with the Field Sales Leader and strategize plans to achieve/exceed sales goals and execute corporate initiatives, including relationship building.
• Responsible for achievement of sales plan for each door within territory through Influencing team in driving Sales, excellent customer service. Cross sell within the ELC Brand Portfolio, while focusing on Hero Products.
• Proficiency in leveraging social & digital media to drive sales and consumer engagement and partner with retailer and brand to ensure seasonal merchandising updates are executed.
• Execute and follow up on all corporate education, event initiatives and programs as directed by Field Sales Director
Coaching/Training/Education (beauty teams and freelance staff)
• Deliver effective sales coaching: modeling, observing, and providing feedback to ensure effective delivery of sales techniques for varying consumer profiles, including cross selling techniques for new consumers, to ensure sales goal achievement.
• Execute trainings for retail associates, inter-sell associates and freelancers on all brand and hero products in addition to seasonal launches by using appropriate selling skills needed to achieve sales goals.
• Monthly execution of corporate and store generated events.
Building retailer relationships
• Develop and maintain relationships with store management and personnel to ensure ongoing support of brand event and sales initiatives.
Events/ Calendar Execution
• Review sales weekly, strategize and collaborate with the Field Sales Leader to drive brand initiatives and events to deliver results.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with store staff, by adhering to scheduled visits, building brand presence, and using retailer tools.
• Create monthly calendar to optimally support focus doors and sales achievement.
• Create and activate store visit calendar, and recap store successes, opportunities and action plans post-visit.
Qualifications
• 2+ years’ cosmetic retail experience preferred, including artistry, event, and selling ability.
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
• Ensure delivery of overall sales plan by door/territory
• Solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail culture and cosmetic industry, focused on coaching of specialty multi team and shoulder to shoulder execution.
• Creative sales driver with passion, energy, and love of the beauty industry to deliver the highest quality service levels.
• Understanding of the current beauty trends and ability to leverage those insights to drive sales.
• Ability to see problems and develop action plans to get past them (inventory/stock issues, staff performance, turnover, logistical issues related to events, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment across multiple brands (where applicable) and across multiple locations. Able to manage time and juggle multiple priorities.
• Strong social media and digital engagement skills
• Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events based on the needs of the business. Must be able to be on the sales floor for length of shift.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to lift at least 30lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to operate ELC Fleet vehicle.
• Create a climate of safety aware
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $66,560.00 to $99,000.00 . Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
