Job Description

An employer sitting in Santa Clarita, CA is looking to hire an onsite (E&I) Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector that will be supporting day to day activities. This team is modernizing a new compressor and substation that will help to increase the pressure of natural gas into their transmission lines. Currently the project is requiring 350,000 yards of soil and a lot of additional areas and sieve testing, compaction testing, moisture testing, concrete testing and pile installation. This person will be reporting to the Quality Management Team Lead that is supporting this major capital project. This person will also need to be knowledgeable about destructive testing and understanding proper concrete placement. He/She will be working with the Construction team, providing audits and reporting. This position will be paying between ($50-$60/hour).

Skills and Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience within Electrical and Instrumentation Inspection experience on refineries, compressor stations, substations, and/or complex facilities

   - Experience with wire and cable testing such as megger, hi-pot and medium voltage terminations

   - Familiarity with NEMA and NEC standards and codes for conduit and tray installation and general requirements such as grounding, areas classification requirements

   - Experience with medium voltage switchgear including testing, reading P&ID's, single lines, schematics, and loop drawings

   - Experience with instrument installation, tubing, control valves, VFD's, UPS's and PDC's

   - Monitoring Vendor care and preservation requirements

Experience drafting quality plans, conducting QA oversight and audit support, and execution of ITP's + Experience with static and dynamic testing and documentation for commissioning and start-up null
