Sierra Nevada Company, LLC Sr Systems Administrator in Lone Tree, Colorado

Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for developing innovation solutions? Join our team! As a Sr Systems Administrator, you will be using your skills and expertise to assist in the analysis, development, and configuration of our existing software and systems that address business requirements and processes. You'll be responsible for evaluating the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of our systems, establishing and documenting system parameters and formats, ensuring hardware and software system compatibility, coordinating and/or modifying system parameters, and revising our existing systems and testing functionality of those systems. You'll correct deficiencies and produce more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and Implementing System Architecture across on-prem and cloud environments.

  • Review architecture and design and suggest improvements

  • Experience managing large corporate networks including IT, Datacenter, Lab, etc.,

  • Partnership with business owners and a track record of shared decision-making that responds to needs, evaluates competing interests, and prioritizes investments.

  • Experience implementing technology and organizational change strategies to transform processes and improve the end-user experience.

  • Experience implementing and maintaining data security and privacy strategies with sensitivity to the cybersecurity maturity model (CMMC) for organizations contracting with the Department of Defense.

  • Significant contributions to organization’s use of technologies to support self-help interfaces, dash boards, and reporting.

  • Consults with users to identify new business requirements then evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs. Performs lead work over subordinate employees or project management duties. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of network and security protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall management.

  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and the ability to automate tasks using scripting.

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and the ability to debug complex systems.

  • communication skills and ability to collaborate with other IT team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an information technology related field with at least 10 or more years of relevant experience *Higher education may substitute for relevant experience *Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Prior experience with systems administration in Windows or Linux environments

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with others

  • Demonstrate a customer care philosophy that ensures a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Proven organizational skills with an attention to detail

  • Experience leading large, enterprise-level projects and working with vendors

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 5 + years experience implementing and supporting AWS and Azure Cloud Operations

  • 5 + years' Experience implementing and supporting VMware (VRealize, VRealize Operations, VRealize Automation)

  • 5 + years' Experience with IT Operations Monitoring Tools (PRTG, VROperations, Solarwinds)

  • Ability to Trouble shoot Network connectivity between Server Infrastructure

  • Certifications

  • • AWS Cloud Foundations

  • • Azure Fundamentals

  • Two of the following:

  • • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

  • • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate

  • • AWS Certified Developer – Associate

  • • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $124,771.42 - $171,560.71. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
