Description

Amazon Fresh is seeking a talented, customer-obsessed and data-driven Program Manager to lead Promotions for Amazon Fresh's Online and In-Store channels.

Key job responsibilities

As the Promotions Lead within Amazon Fresh, you will be the authority on what a best-in-class trade plan needs to include and how it should be implemented. This will involve forming a promotions North Star, backed by internal and industry data, customer insights and competitive benchmarking, that delivers Amazon Fresh’s overarching value proposition. You will be responsible for independently defining must-have Always On and seasonal promotions, identifying opportunities for differentiation, implementation and automating/outsourcing processes, managing investment across promotional mechanics and developing a path to an improved end-customer experience. Working collaboratively and holding to account cross-functional stakeholders, across Retail (Vendor Management, Marketing, Finance) and Product (CX and Internal Tools Tech), you will drive continuous improvement and be empowered to develop entirely new solutions that enable our trade plan. This position has direct support from Director and Management Team leadership, to which you will have regular exposure through reporting ongoing initiatives and commercial performance.

Who we’re looking for: The right person in this role will be able to deal with ambiguity and take the lead in defining frameworks and plans where no prior examples exist. They will be an ambitious self-starter with ability to operate independently while being supported and thrive in fast-paced environment. They will be will be obsessed with our customers, growing our understanding of their needs, vocally self-critical on where we can improve and building strategies to provide the best promotions to meet those needs. They will also be data driven and comfortable diving deep into understanding what good looks like across our categories and striving to deliver exceptional value for our customers

A day in the life

The successful candidate will communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers. They should enjoy in-depth review of our own and market segment promotional performance and the impact it has on commercial performance and value perception. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key. This position requires a candidate with proven analytical skills with experience driving process improvement, thought leadership, and delivering results.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in program or project management

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience working in Retail, promotions and/or the Grocery sector

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Comfortable with commercial and financial metrics
