Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technology related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 7 years of experience with policy analysis, development maintenance and enforcement.

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to operate in a fluid, constantly evolving team environment and to influence/communicate cross-functionally across all levels of management.

• Ability to grow in an ambiguous environment with a flexible can do attitude.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Trust and Safety Strategist, you are responsible for protecting the integrity of some of Google's key products, including Google Search, Google Maps, Google Ads, AdSense, Google Checkout and Google Product Search. You investigate financial fraud, account-related abuse, questionable business practices, violations of Google's policies, and general misuse of our products. You are introduced to dynamic analytical techniques and you leverage custom-built technology to have a direct impact on improving the experience of millions of Google users. You subscribe to a "user-first" philosophy and are interested in improving Google's user experience and product integrity. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You harness your analytical and technical skills to drive tool development and process improvements.

• Develop, support and analyze the implementation of the effectiveness of Policy (informed by research) by acting as a thought partner with various product and policy areas focused on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).

• Collaborate with a wide-range of stakeholders including engineers, product and business managers, public policy, and attorneys, to reach consensus on various policy issues.

• Become an expert in your assigned Product and policy areas.

• Resolve high-profile policy issues and escalations from users, the media, government and internal stakeholders.

• Build and design products for users, and minimize harm consistent with Google’s core principles and values.
